Avatar 1 and 2

For the first avatar i ecided to use more of the accessories of an avatar rather than using the facial features as much, which is what i did for the second one. I found ears and decided to color in the eyes yellow because all avatars have yellow eyes. For the second one i used the liquify feature in photoshop quite a bit to give my avatar the qualities of the ones from the movie. 

Cumulative Project

For this project I decided to choose my best works of this year. I decided to create a maroon background with powder blue lettering because they compliment each other well and are two of my favorite colors. I arranged my projects in a random order in way to look good. 

Movie Poster

For this project I decided to use the three main characters as images with a background of the sun with rays shining into the characters. I thought that the sunshine reveals the hope and even though there was a massive genocide in Rwanda, there was still hope amongst the citizens. I thought that this was a very fun project and I enjoyed doing it. 

6 Images

For this image I decided to show the country of Rwanda with a skull and crossbones to reveal the genocide that occurred to all the innocent people. I also wrote innocence does not matter because the tootsies and hutus were vicious and killed anyone that was not one of their own. 

For this symbol i showed UN flag in between the Tootsie and Hutu flag with a low opacity to reveal the flames in the background. The flames represent the destruction that they caused in Rwanada. Lastly, the UN flag is warped because it was so difficult for them to protect the innocent people.

This image represents the machete going through the UN logo to represent the UN attempting to protect  

but the machetes were used by the Hutus. This represents evilness by the Hutu.

This image represents all the innocent Rwandans stuck in Rwanda and pleading for the UN to help them but the UN did travel back to Europe. The main message is help from the UN.

 I tried to show one person making a difference which in Hotel Rwanda was Paul trying to protect the innocent by welcoming them into his hotel. The people behind are the innocent Rwandans and Paul is the yellow brownish man in the front.

For this last image i tried to show the country of Rwanda asking for help but the main countries looking away. The one country not shown is France because they did help Paul and the innocent people. 

Hotel Rwanda- Text Illustration

For this project, we were to create a word and use stencil effect to put images behind the word. I decided to put the images of the nons, the wife and kids, the UN General, and and Paul behind the word hope. I thought that this reveals all the characters and shows the main theme of the move: Hope. 

Color Wheel

For this project, we were to create a silhouette using a photo. The silhouette i made was a football and the background photo is myself taken earlier in the year. I chose several colors that look pleasing to the eye for the background color using photo filter. 

Hidden

For this project, we were to put a hidden picture into another background. I decided to use filter, color fill, and textures. 

Animoto

For this project i decided to choose my best work. I added one my favorite songs and it worked well with the slideshow. For the theme i just decided to use a modern, creative theme. I am happy with this project

Stencil

For this project we were to take an image and stencil out certain parts and put a background behind it. I chose to use the throwback phillies logo and replace the inside with their current Phillies writing logo. I then took the powder blue color used on their throwback jerseys and replaced the outline with it. I also threw on some photo filters and used a gradient on the background. 

Tutorial 4

In this tutorial i learned how to change fonts around and make a very cool change to a font. I thought that this tutorial was easy to follow and interesting to use. I liked using this tutorial and am pleased with the outcome. 

Tutorial 3

For this tutorial I learned how to use a gaussian blur and hue and saturation to make a very cool design. The filters were very interesting when applied to a color background. I am very satisfied with this project because the design is very abstract and colorful. It is also pleasing to the eye and was fun the make. The tutorial was very simple to follow. 

Tutorial 2

The tutorial i watched was describing how to make a 2D image into a tunnel. I decided to use a abstract design because the way the colors and shapes turn into a tunnel look really cool. I typed Nebula because it looks somewhat of a nebula because of the shapes. I am very happy with this project. 

Covering a Chair 2

For this project we were to basically plaster warped images onto a chair to completely cover it. I decided to use splatter paintings because the colors work very well together. I tried to make the images cover large parts of the chair rather than cutting them into increments because the chair consisted of mainly large sections than tiny ones. I am happy with this project, but maybe could have organized it a little different next time. 

Photoshop Tutorial 1

For this project, we were to use one of the tutorial found on Photoshopuser.com. I several rays of sun coming from the upper right hand corner of the picture. I decided to create this project that way because it looks very cool and nice. I probably would have created this project with a better image next time where here is a clear light source coming from the sky and you could attach the rays on to it. I thought it was a fun and interesting tutorial.

Chair

For this project we were to select certain images and warp them on to the chair, kind of like putting wallpaper on it. I chose to warp the Philadelphia Phillies players and their logo onto the chair because they are my favorite baseball team. I like this project very much and it turned out great. I would have done the same thing again. 

Midterm Exam

For the exam i decided to make a creative pattern and an abstractive image. I hoped to use the tools in photoshop the most creative way that pulls the viewer in and is an eye catcher. 

Designs on Paper

I like this christmas card because the font is a retro-classic type which is cool. The colors also work very well together and really gets the full message across to have a merry christmas. 

Art Inspiration

This painting by Diego Jacobson is very abstract. I personally like abstract paintings because they don't necessarily have to have meaning into them. Somebody can just paint what they want however they like it. Also, the colors work very well together. 

This painting is by David Geffen called Gray Numbers. I like this painting because all the detail put into it is amazing. The dark colors work very well together, also. 

Kaleidoscope

This is a kaleidoscope of a colorful design. I chose this design because the colors work well together. I am happy about this project because the design fits perfectly into the kaleidoscope. 

Filtered Self-Portrait

For this project we were to creat a self portait of ourself and organize any way into a nine pannel page. This was to reflect me, and i think it does. Ive chosen red blue red for the top row of pictures to represent the colors of my favorite baseball team, the Phillies. Also the bottom row is the colors of my favorite football team are green white green. My favorite team is the Eagles. Lastly i chose my background to be a football field because that is my favorite sport and it represents me well.
